At Championship Martial Arts of Baldwin Park we believe that martial arts training provides numerous benefits for students of all ages, including physical fitness, discipline, focus, and self-confidence. That’s why we work closely with local elementary schools to introduce and include students in the benefits of martial arts.
One of the main activities that we do with local elementary schools is the “PE Teacher for a day” program. This program involves one of our instructors going to a local school and leading a PE class, incorporating simple martial arts techniques and exercises into the curriculum. This gives students an opportunity to experience martial arts training firsthand, and helps them to develop their physical fitness, coordination, and focus.
We also provide “Intent to Promote” sheets to teachers, which are forms that they can fill out when they have a student who attends our dojo who wants to test for a new belt ranking. These forms are given to our dojo students, who then bring them back to the dojo and present them to their instructors. This helps to encourage students to work hard and achieve their goals, while also keeping teachers involved in the process and informed about their students’ progress.
In addition to these activities, we also give back to local school systems by using enrollment fees collected at our dojo to support school programs and initiatives. This allows us to support the development of physical education programs, as well as other programs that benefit students in the community.
We believe that our partnership with local elementary schools is an important part of our mission to bring awareness to martial arts training and its many benefits. By working together, we can help students to develop physical fitness, discipline, focus, and self-confidence, while also supporting the growth and development of our local schools.
We are proud to work with local elementary schools to promote martial arts training and provide opportunities for students to develop their physical fitness, discipline, focus, and self-confidence. We believe that our “PE Teacher for a day” program, “Intent to Promote” sheets, and support for local school systems are all important ways that we can make a positive impact on our community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with local schools and helping students to achieve their goals.
Below you can see an example of our martial arts instructor giving a “PE Teacher For A Day” lesson where the instructor leads a PE class for the students. They follow their regular class lesson and get an introduction to simple martial arts techniques. Students who are enrolled in our dojo and attend a local elementary school are always excited to share their love for martial arts alongside their classmates!
